If you are a dreamer, a doer, a horizon viewer - come in! come in! Announce yourself and let it be known.
The seed of adventure has been sown.

The goal is to take this boat on a trip that no other Wharram boat has taken.
From Great Slave Lake in Canada's Northwest Territories up the MacKenzie River to the Beafort Sea
and westward to the Bering Sea and south to the inside passage on the Alaska and British Columbia coast.

I have been absent from blogger for months. No I have not dissappeared but have been working my butt off and continue to do so. I did have a trip planned for the beginning of April so took a reprieve and have just returned. Not an expedition or adventure trip but a nature discovery survey of Costa Rica with guide Steve Daniels and his local guide Gustavo Orozco and our amazing bus driver Ricardo Gomez Arce. The trip was by plane, boat, bus, foot and even horse. What a transect of the country! We went from San Jose to the Carribean coast at Tortuguero by bus then motor launch, over the main cross-country road then onto dirt potholed lanes to a boat that took us up a system of natural and dredged channels. From there we took a twin otter back across the mountains to San Jose and headed up to Arenal Volcano which put on a show. Onwards to Monteverde to checkout the cloud forest where I had a close encounter with a Green Palm Viper - visually only - fortunately! Westwards to the dryside to check out the coast - no surfing on this trip but a decent adventure into the mangroves with a croc or two. Work for me is not over but that is how it should be. I fill my cruising coffers.............
